What's All This About?

During 2008, each month will see me try a new "fad" diet.
I'll report results, observations and experiences here.
Hopefully, I'll find one that works for me - and maybe what might work for you too!

This graph shows the calories I ate during January (my low calorie diet-month). My daily target was 1872 calories. I am on to a different diet, so no longer tracking calories
% Body Fat

Starting on Day 6th of the South Beach Diet, I got a Taylor Model #5599 body fat scale so we are now tracking (and reporting) % body fat
2008 5k Times

I had a great suggestion of tracking my 2008 5K times. These times are admittedly slow compared to "real" runners, but I love to run! Improving is a lot of fun and you gotta keep score in life!
Dozen Diets Canon

1. You are not as fat as you think you are. 2. It is noble and fine to work to improve yourself, but you also gotta be happy in your own skin. 3. You are a beautiful human being. 4. No expert can tell you for certain what will work for you. Different diets and exercise programs work differently for different people. 5. Don't let anyone else make you feel bad because of the way you look. 6. Don't let food control you. Not your mood and not your choices. 7. If you fall down, get up and get moving again.
