Wow. I. am. sore. I am not a huge workout monster or anything, but I have been going pretty strong for most of ‘08 and the Escape Your Weight workout has me pretty sore, which is AWESOME. I haven’t felt like I have been making huge gains lately and in this workout, I am definitely doing something. When I say “I’m sore” I mean in the good I’m-building-muscle type of sore verus the I-have-hurt-myself type of soreness.
I have managed to stick right at the 1600 calories. I am consistently under the target of 220 carbs. I am trying to push that up. I am typically quite close to the 80 grams of protein and I am averaging around 44 grams of fat (I was over one day and a little under the next). I am controlling by calories first and trying to get the rest as close as I can.
One thing of note is that I get to eat oatmeal for breakfast. I love oatmeal! I am so glad that it is considered healthy. So many things I like are not. I have also found a good basis for the dinner meal is to start with Vegetable Beef Soup (Campbell’s Chunky or Progressive) and then fill in the rest from there.
