South Beach Diet, Day 16 (Chattanooga edition)

No numbers today because I am in sunny Chattanooga, TN and without my super-scale. I am sticking with the diet of course, though it is hard while traveling. Still, being able to work on trips is a MUST for most diets so this will be a good test. I will be here for a few days.

Today I ate:

  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Ham
  • 10 cashews
  • 2 cups of coffee (SPlenda, no creamer)
  • 3 cups of hot tea (SPlenda)
  • diet pepsi
  • Lots of water
  • A hamburger patty with A-1 Sauce

That is it thus far. I’ll drop in an update later. Tonight should be a real test. I will be here in Chattanooga and out on the town with “the guys” - (friends I have had my whole life). Still, I’ll do the best I can.

Well, I didn’t do too great, but I could have done a lot worse. Here is my list for the rest of the day:

  • 3 hot dogs
  • 30 cashews
  • 3 Miller Chills - should have stopped at 1.
  • 3 shots of Jameson whiskey - at least there are no carbs here.
  • 1 small piece of a taco ring - this is the worst thing I did. The ingredients were pretty low carb, but the ring itself is a small croissant. I only ate one small piece. Hopefully that doesn’t torpedo the last 16 days.
  • 1 pack of peanuts

Not a great day, but hopefully not bad enough to sabotage all of my efforts. I did run 3 miles, so I have been consistent with that.
